Meet the Teacher



Welcome to 1st grade! I am so excited to be your child’s teacher. This will be a very special year filled with discoveries and developments for us all. It is my goal to make this school year an enjoyable learning experience for your child.

A little about me! I was born and raised in Austin, TX. I graduated from Texas State University in 2007 with a degree in Elementary Education with certifications in Special Education and ESL. I have been with the Round Rock School District for eleven years. I have spent 3 years in Special Education, 2 years in Kindergarten and this will be my 6th year teaching 1st grade.

                       

I've been married to my wonderful husband, Ryan, for nine and a half years. We have a beautiful daughter who is 5 years old named Savanna. She will be starting Kindergarten this year at Pasty Sommer!  She has been a wonderful blessing and is keeping us on our toes.

We also have a 11 year old dog named Rascal. His name fits him well, since he is ALWAYS getting into trouble. I am sure your child will be coming home with lots of stories of his adventures in and outside of the classroom.
